House prices fall by £23,000

The credit crunch has caused house prices in Reading to plummet by an average of nearly £23,000 in a year.

At the end of 2008 Reading suffered its first annual decrease in property prices for at least 13 years, according to new Land Registry figures released on Tuesday last week.
